Diversity is a vital aspect of a thriving academic community, and Reed is committed to creating an inclusive living, learning, and working environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
At 快活视频, we work to foster a culture of empathy, understanding, and intellectual curiosity. We want our students, faculty, and staff to be challenged and inspired by perspectives, analysis, and experiences different from their own. That's why Reed continues to take significant steps toward becoming a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive community.
In recent years, our students have been at the forefront of a nationwide movement for social justice, pushing for changes in the college’s priorities, policies, curriculum, and commitment to equity. We're excited to share our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) with you, and we invite you to learn more about the resources, programs, and events available to our students and community.
Commitment to Diversity and Anti-Racism Statements
Drafted by students, Reed’s Diversity Statement and Anti-Racism Statement assert our commitment to full participation in serious and open intellectual inquiry by students, faculty, and staff, regardless of ethnicity, race, religion, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, socioeconomic status, or disabilities.

Office for Institutional Diversity
Established in 2011, the Office for Institutional Diversity works to establish a diverse and inclusive learning, teaching, and working environment. That includes offering programs that explore different cultures, ideas, and academic fields. The office also builds connections with Portland communities that share Reed's values of diverse perspectives and academic excellence.
Peer Mentor Program
Join Reed's Peer Mentor Program (PMP) for a supportive community that helps new students from underrepresented backgrounds transition to college. Connect with a junior or senior student mentor who will guide you during your first year.
